How yal doing?

The look in this post was put together for my friend's birthday party in Leicester Square and was inspired by one of my favourite TV Shows and by the title of the post, you should be able to guess which character. 

In Season 3 Episode 11 of 'Single Ladies', Denise Vasi who plays Raquel was styled by the genius that is Anthony L. Williams for a night out and as soon as I saw the outfit, I knew that I had to put something similar together.

A few weeks later, I found these pleated transparent chiffon pants in AA. I couldn't believe my eyes as 1. I've never come across anything like it and 2. They remind me of the Badgley Mischka Pants seen on a lot of celebrities such as Vanessa Hudgens. I just had to get it and after searching for months for a triangle cut bralet top, I finally came across this one last week and the rest was a match made in fashion.

BLACQUE-SHAW

I bought this dress a few months ago and it's just been sitting in my closet. Ever so often, I'd take a glance at it and ask myself why I'd bought such an item as it isn't something I'd usually wear. 1. It is a dress and 2. It is patterned.

However, the more I glanced at it, the more confident I became that I could pull of a look inspired by Carrie Bradshaw and here is what I came up with.

N O U V E A U

HeyHeyHey beautiful people,

It's been a mighty long time and I apologize, profusely.

I haven't blogged in what seems like forever due to a number of reasons but the important thing is that I'm back! 

I thought I'd start off with this post cause it ties so many things together. Everything I'm wearing is new (hence the title of this post) and I just felt like it symbolizes where I'm at in my journey regarding a lot of things I hope to share with yal in the future.
