MODERNIST

“Every year, the women of New York leave the past behind and look forward to the future…. This is known as FASHION WEEK.”
—Carrie Bradshaw

I absolutely love fashion week and whilst I don’t live in NEW YORK (yet), I’ve still had the utmost pleasure of enjoying FASHION WEEK right here in London.
I thought I’d take you back to my FALL concept series and show you another reason why this season is my absolute favourite.

AFRICA ON THE CATWALK

HeyHeyHey Guys & Dolls,

It gives me great pleasure to publish this post because it is part of a dream come true for me.

I was invited to assist the Fashion Director at the London Fashion Week edition of Africa on the Catwalk at the Southbank Centre on the 12-13 September 2014 as a Stylist.
Africa on the Catwalk is a fashion show embedded in the AFRICA UTOPIA FESTIVAL which brings together designers who originate from the continent of Africa and are inspired by its rich cultural heritage.

I was given the opportunity to work with some fantastic designers such as Samson Soboye, Sindiso Khumalo, MIFANI, Bestow Elan to name a few and fit some very beautiful Models. The whole experience was very surreal and I hope that it is something I get to do someday for the rest of my life.

I hope you love these rehearsal shots as much as I enjoyed it. Below are the direct links to each designer’s website. Check out their new and previous collections.

Let me know which looks you loved and I’ll see you in my next post.

Love Always,
